About the founder
Belgian designer Liesbet Johanna Georgine brings more than 25 years of experience in the international accessories industry, including twelve years as Head of Accessories at Dries Van Noten.
With LIHANN GEORGE — a name derived from her three given names — she returns to the pure essence of design: form, material and thoughtful use.
Her way of seeing is deeply influenced by architecture.
The home she shares with her kids and husband, internationally renowned interior architect Arjaan De Feyter, reflects a deeply personal architectural vision.
Together with the setting of her private showroom at KANAAL near Antwerp, it shapes her sensitivity to proportion, material, light and space.
Architecture is not simply a source of inspiration, but a natural part of her daily life and creative perspective.
Guided by this architectural sensibility and rooted in expertise, LIHANN GEORGE is a refined collection of seasonless leather bags defined by clear, sculptural shapes.
Each piece is conceived as a considered volume, where proportion, balance and function come together.
The leather is developed by Liesbet in close collaboration with the atelier and tannery — never simply selected from a catalogue.
Its natural character, depth and tactile quality are integral to the design. Minimal hardware allows the construction and material to speak for themselves.
Created with respect for the hand of the maker and the person who carries it, each bag is designed with restraint and made to age beautifully — to be worn daily and carried intuitively.
Quiet or bold. Unmistakably you.
